Our Family Temple Trip

Whoa there Buddy.  No swimming allowed.
See the scenery?!
After a full week of walking the streets of Provo trying to get this baby to come, AJ and I were both a little tired of the streets of Provo.  We needed a change of scenery, and the best scenery was to be found at the Provo temple.  So we decided to go and make a visit to the temple as a family for the sole purpose of walking in a new location.  Isn't that one of the most pathetic reasons to go to the temple that you have ever heard?  At least it got us there, right?  Plus, we really wanted Samuel to touch the temple before we move.  It didn’t take Samuel very long at all to notice the fountains- I mean seriously, who could miss them.  They were instantly his favorite part of the temple grounds.  Of course he NEEDED to touch the “ardy”.  (Which being interpreted is "water".)  I was not surprised when he started with just a single finger in the water, which gradually progressed to a hand, then an arm, then both hands . . .  you get the idea where this is going.  We almost had a whole little body swimming in the Provo temple fountains.  Thankfully we caught him before he could slip into the water.  This was our sign that it was time to leave the fountains for a while to visit other parts of the temple grounds.

One little boy + A lot of water = Happiness and Splashing

It required a lot of pulling and kicking and screaming in order to get Samuel to the backside of the temple.  By the way, did you know that you could walk around the back of the Provo temple?  Because you can, and I had absolutely no idea, until recently.  You will have to check it out if you haven’t yet.  Samuel liked it back there better than he thought he was going to.  He kept pointing up at the temple and attempting to say "temple"- it was adorable and sounded nothing like temple.  He was also very interested in the angel Moroni but found it hard to run and look at the same time.  It was a little difficult to keep him from running into the flowers, or kicking the flowers.  Actually it was just hard to keep him from running period.  He loves to show us how “fast” he can be.  Our stay at the temple didn't last very long because we felt that Samuel was being a little irreverent running through the flowers and trying to swim in the fountains, but we all enjoyed our visit.  I am so thankful that we have a temple so close to us- it is truly a blessing.

So, I just noticed ... I am HUGE!
Samuel kept pointing at Moroni.
